Pixel 9a Selfie Camera Bug Resolved in Latest Update

A software bug causes the Pixel 9a's selfie camera preview to flicker in low light, but photos remain unaffected.

A software bug in the Pixel 9a's front-facing camera causes a flickering effect in the image preview when used in low-light scenarios, although this does not impact the quality of the actual photos taken. The issue has been addressed and resolved with the latest Pixel Camera 9.8 update roll-out. This problem was confined to the software and did not affect the camera hardware or other models; however, some users also reported seeing similar issues on other Pixel devices. Uninstalling the latest Pixel Camera app update can revert the behavior to normal if needed.
