Power Struggles: Creative Solutions to the M4 Mac Mini's Tricky Button Placement

Creative solutions emerge to tackle Apple's questionable power button placement on the M4 Mac mini, with users developing innovative workarounds.

Apple's decision to place the power button of the M4 Mac mini underneath has been questioned by users. Some have come up with their own 'solutions' to the problem.

The introduction of the M4 Mac mini was welcomed by critics, with the already small Mac made even smaller. To achieve this, a compromise had to be made. The power button is now at the bottom left corner on the underside, meaning the device has to be lifted or tilted to turn it on.

Apple's SVP of Worldwide Marketing and SVP of Hardware claim that's not an accessibility issue, and pointed out how many Mac owners just put their computer to sleep instead nowadays. However, there still is a need sometimes to press that button. The result? A slew of alternative ways to press the pushable control without having to lift the whole desktop machine off your desk.
