Power Up Your Workflow: Next-Gen M4 Max and M3 Ultra Chips Elevate the Mac Studio

Apple Updates the Mac Studio with M4 Max and M3 Ultra Chips
Apple has announced an update to its Mac Studio desktop computer, introducing two new chip options: the M4 Max and the M3 Ultra. The updated 2025 Mac Studio is a typical spec-bump update, maintaining the same design as the previous model while enhancing performance.
-
M4 Max Chip: This chip was first introduced in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. It comes in two variants:
- A 14-core CPU with ten performance cores and four efficiency cores, paired with a 32-core GPU.
- A 16-core CPU with twelve performance cores and four efficiency cores, paired with a 40-core GPU.
-
M3 Ultra Chip: This is the more powerful option, effectively doubling the core counts of two M3 Max chips. It provides a significant boost in both CPU and GPU performance.
The new Mac Studio starts at $1,999 for the M4 Max configuration and $3,999 for the M3 Ultra configuration. The update positions the Mac Studio as a strong mid-range option for users who need high performance but are not ready to invest in a Mac Pro.
