Qualcomm Accelerates Innovation: Snapdragon 8 Elite Unveiled a Month Early in September

Qualcomm accelerates the launch of its next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite, set to debut at Summit 2025 in late September, bringing earlier-than-expected advancements in mobile and laptop chip technology.

Qualcomm Confirms September Launch for Snapdragon 8 Elite

Qualcomm has announced its 'Summit 2025' event, scheduled from September 23 to 25, where it will unveil the second-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite and other new products. This announcement comes a month earlier than last year's October 21 unveiling.

During the Computex 2025 presentation, Qualcomm highlighted that while the new Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be a major focus, the event will also see the launch of a new generation of laptop chips for Windows devices. The earlier launch date suggests that smartphones equipped with the new chip could hit the market sooner, with brands like OnePlus and Xiaomi typically being among the first to adopt these advancements.

The precise release timing for phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite is not yet clear, but it is reasonable to expect them to follow closely after the announcement. Last year, both Xiaomi and OnePlus unveiled their new hardware in October, but they might move up to September this time around.
