The report reveals that the number of ransomware attacks is increasing, with 59 active groups now operating worldwide. There is a shift away from the dominance of major players like LockBit 3.0 and ALPHV towards a more fragmented ecosystem. Newer groups like RansomHub have seen a significant increase in victims. The construction and healthcare sectors are facing heightened targeting, and many organizations lack robust multi-factor authentication.
