ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro Unleashed: Snapdragon 8 Elite Powers Ultimate Gaming Experience

Asus has launched the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro, designed specifically for gamers but also offering comprehensive features that appeal to a broader audience. Both models run on Android 15 and are powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The phones feature a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate, enhanced cooling with GameCool 9 technology, and a 5,800mAh battery supporting 65W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The ROG Phone 9 Pro stands out with an improved camera array featuring a 50MP main sensor, 13MP wide lens, and a 32MP telephoto lens, while the base model includes a 50MP main sensor, 13MP wide lens, and a 5MP macro unit. The phones also bring back the 'AniME' function with custom LED animations and incorporate AI features like an AI call translator and transcript tool.
Pricing starts at $999 for the ROG Phone 9 and $1,199 for the Pro model.
