Samsung Ends Software Updates for Galaxy Z Fold 2, Tab A7: What You Need to Know

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Tab A7 are no longer supported for security updates or major Android upgrades, with Samsung officially dropping them from the list of devices receiving software support.

Samsung has ended software updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Tab A7, meaning they will no longer receive security updates or major Android upgrades. The devices, released before Samsung's initiative to provide around seven years of updates for new devices, received about four years of updates. While the devices will still function, they may be exposed to malicious attacks without security updates. Users can get a $600 trade-in credit when upgrading to a newer model.
