Microsoft has officially confirmed that Samsung Gallery will lose its ability to sync and back up media to OneDrive starting later this year. The change was quietly revealed through a support page update, signaling the end of a core integration for Galaxy users who relied on Microsoft's cloud for their photo and video storage. Once the feature is discontinued, users will no longer have an automated way to upload content from the native gallery app to OneDrive, necessitating a move to alternative cloud providers or manual storage methods. Local data on devices will remain unaffected, but the convenience of the cross-platform ecosystem is being significantly scaled back.
