Samsung Pauses Global One UI 7 Rollout Due to Major Bug on S24 Series
Samsung Halts One UI 7 Rollout Globally Due to Serious Bug
Samsung has suspended the global rollout of One UI 7.0, which is based on Android 15, following the discovery of a serious bug. The initial rollout began on April 10, but the update was halted across all countries, including China, after issues were reported in Korean S24 series devices equipped with the Exynos 2400 processor. Despite the bug being specific to certain Exynos models, Snapdragon-powered devices, such as US models of the Galaxy S24, Z Fold, and Z Flip 6, have also had their updates paused.
Reports suggest that the OTA files have been pulled from Samsung’s servers, indicating a more significant problem than initially thought. It is unclear how this affects devices that were already updated in the first wave. However, Samsung is expected to release another OTA update with hotfixes to address any issues.
