Samsung Plans to Expand Third-Party App Integration in One UI 7's Now Bar

Samsung plans to expand third-party app support for the Now Bar in One UI 7, aiming to integrate popular apps like Kakao T and Naver Sports, making quick information more accessible.

Samsung is reportedly planning to enhance the 'Now Bar' feature in One UI 7 by integrating more third-party applications. Initially launched with limited support for Samsung’s own apps and a few Google services, the Now Bar aims to provide quick access to useful information on the lock screen, similar to Apple's Live Activities. According to ETNews, Samsung is considering popular South Korean apps such as Kakao T (a taxi app) and Naver Sports, as well as other navigation and food delivery services like Baedal Minjung and Naver Map. The company may also look to integrate international apps like Uber to make the feature more globally useful. Currently, the selection of supported apps is limited, but Samsung's efforts to expand this list are expected to significantly improve the utility of the Now Bar.
