Samsung Surprises with Early One UI 8 Beta on the Horizon

Samsung's Upcoming One UI 8 Beta for Android 16
Samsung is reportedly planning to release the first beta version of One UI 8, based on Android 16, towards the end of this month. This early release comes as a surprise, considering the initial expectation that it would follow the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July.
The beta program will be selective, initially targeting specific devices in certain regions, with the Galaxy S25 series in Korea likely being among the first to receive the update. The rollout to Europe and the US is expected to follow in June.
Key features hinted at for One UI 8 include AI Video Summary, advanced DeX capabilities, and potentially more VRAM. Samsung is aiming to get this launch right after facing challenges with the One UI 7 release, as delays could impact future OS developments.
