Samsung’s Ballie Robot Set to Roll Out This Summer with Google Gemini Onboard

Samsung is set to launch its Ballie robot in the US and Korea 'this Summer,' bringing years of development to fruition. The robot, first introduced in 2020, has undergone several delays and design updates. Samsung has partnered with Google to integrate Gemini and Google's cloud services into Ballie, enhancing its capabilities. Ballie will use Gemini's multimodal features to process audio, visual, and sensor data, allowing it to respond to user prompts like 'Hey Ballie, how do I look?' by offering styling recommendations. It can also provide advice for issues such as feeling tired, suggesting exercises or sleep improvements. The robot is equipped with a built-in projector, the ability to answer calls, play music, and monitor pets while owners are away.
