Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 Set to Be World's Thinnest Foldable at Just 8.9mm, Leaker Reveals

Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Be the Thinnest Foldable in the World According to a reliable leaker, Ice Universe, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest foldable phone on the market. The device is expected to measure just 8.9mm when closed and 3.9mm when open, making it thinner than the current record holder, the Oppo Find N5 (8.93mm closed, 4.21mm open). This new measurement seems more realistic compared to a previous leak suggesting an even slimmer profile of 8.4mm when closed.
Samsung is scheduled to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July. While there are still some uncertainties about the information, it appears more feasible than earlier leaks. The same leaker has previously corrected their initial renders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, indicating that the CAD-based renders of the Z Fold 7 from February might also be inaccurate.
Samsung is also rumored to launch One UI 8, based on Android 16, alongside the new foldables.
