Samsung’s Now Bar Enhancements in One UI 8

Samsung introduced the Now Bar in One UI 7 as a feature that promised to provide quick access to information and actions, but it fell short of user expectations. In One UI 7, the Now Bar mainly served as a charging indicator, displayed sports scores, and facilitated interactions with the Morning Brief.

However, leaks from One UI 8 suggest that Samsung is planning to enhance the Now Bar's capabilities. According to posts on Twitter/X by @Topraks9plus, the new version of the Now Bar will include a Do Not Disturb (DND) button and an active call display feature. The DND button might allow users to activate or deactivate the DND mode directly from the Now Bar, while the call display shows the call duration and likely the recipient’s name.

While these changes are positive, users are still hoping for more significant improvements, such as better integration with third-party apps and more advanced AI suggestions. These enhancements might be part of future updates or even in One UI 8 itself. However, it's important to note that the current information is based on leaked builds, and the final release may differ.
