Seamless Transition: How to Easily Transfer Your Pixel Watch to a New Phone
Google is reminding Pixel Watch owners of the 'transfer' function in Wear OS, which allows users to easily move their watch's settings and data to a new smartphone without requiring a factory reset. This feature was introduced with Wear OS 4 and has been available on both Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch devices. The process involves accessing the 'Transfer watch' option in your Pixel Watch’s System settings or the Pixel Watch app on your old phone, preparing your new phone by installing the Google Pixel Watch app and enabling Bluetooth and Location services, pairing your Pixel Watch with your new device, confirming the connection, and signing in to sync your data. While this functionality isn't new, Google's reminder is useful for users who may not have used it before. The company also notes that if the transfer process doesn’t work smoothly, users can try restarting both devices and attempting the process again.
