Siri Privacy Lawsuit: iPhone Owners Eligible for $95 Million Settlement

A class-action lawsuit against Apple over Siri's alleged recording of private conversations without permission has been settled for $95 million. The settlement covers current or former owners of Siri-enabled devices who reside in the United States and believe their private communications were obtained by Apple between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. Recipients can claim up to five devices with unexpected Siri activations, with a potential payout capped at $20 per device, totaling up to $100. The final amount will depend on the number of claims and court-approved deductions. Consumers must submit their claims by July 2, 2025, either through a dedicated website or postal mail. The settlement does not constitute an admission of guilt by Apple.
