Spotify Gemini Extension Now Available on Android
Spotify becomes the second third-party Gemini Extension, offering 'play & search' functionality similar to YouTube Music.
Spotify has become the second third-party Gemini Extension, following WhatsApp, and it allows users to play and search for music using voice commands. The extension is rolling out on Android devices and requires linking a Spotify account to a Google Account. Users can ask Gemini to play specific songs or playlists and browse music on Spotify. However, some limitations exist, such as the inability to create playlists or radios, lack of availability in Google Messages, and language support only for English.
