Steve Buscemi Hosts New True-Crime Podcast 'Big Time' on Apple TV+

Dive into the world of audacious crimes and larger-than-life schemes with Steve Buscemi in Apple's newest true-crime podcast, Big Time.

Apple Launches Original True-Crime Podcast 'Big Time' Starring Steve Buscemi

Apple has debuted a new true-crime podcast titled 'Big Time,' featuring actor and filmmaker Steve Buscemi as the host. The 14-episode series delves into audacious crimes, including fake kidnappings, elaborate robberies, and even stolen sharks. Each week, Buscemi introduces a new story about a larger-than-life scam or scheme that almost succeeded.

Produced by Lee Eisenberg’s Piece of Work Entertainment and Campside Media in association with Buscemi and Wren Arthur’s Olive Productions, 'Big Time' is available to all users via Apple Podcasts. However, Apple TV+ subscribers gain advance access to future episodes, staying a week ahead of the general audience.

This podcast marks another step in Apple's strategy to produce original content alongside its TV shows and movies on Apple TV+. While some original podcasts have served as companions to TV+ shows, 'Big Time' is a standalone production with no direct ties to any television series. The company’s broader strategy with these original podcasts remains somewhat unclear, but there is speculation that successful podcasts could lead to future TV projects on Apple TV+.
