Swing into Summer with 'Stick': Apple TV+'s Heartfelt Golf Comedy

New Golf Comedy 'Stick' Debuts on Apple TV+ Soon
Apple is stepping up its content game with the upcoming release of a new golf comedy series, Stick, set to premiere on June 4. The show stars Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill, an ex-pro golfer whose career took a nosedive two decades ago. After hitting rock bottom—losing his marriage and job—Pryce finds hope in Santi, a troubled 17-year-old golf prodigy. Stick is described as a heartfelt, feel-good sports comedy that explores the dynamics of a found family within the world of golf.
Apple is positioning Stick to be its next big hit, akin to the wildly successful Ted Lasso. Both shows feature protagonists who are coach-like figures with their own mental health challenges and a strong sense of community. The first three episodes will drop on June 4, followed by weekly releases through July 23.
Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 per month and offers a variety of critically acclaimed shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, Silo, and Shrinking.
