A study by Becextech indicates that several emojis and internet acronyms are becoming unpopular or losing their original meaning due to overuse, with the enraged pouting face 😡 at the top of the list. Other popular candidates for 'extinction' include RIP, WTF (32.2), skull emoji 💀 (30.1), pleading face 🥺 (29), FOMO (28.4), SMH (26.7), IKR (26.6), thinking face 🤔 (26.2) and snake emoji 🐍 (26).
