The Final Countdown: Intel-Powered Mac minis Join the Vintage Ranks
The final Intel-powered Mac mini has been deemed 'vintage' by Apple, signaling the end of an era for this iconic desktop.

Apple has updated its list of vintage and obsolete products, marking the 2018 Intel Mac mini and iPhone 6s as now ‘vintage.’ The 2018 Mac mini is particularly significant, being the last remaining Intel model to receive this designation. According to Apple's definitions:
- Vintage: Products that were discontinued between 5 and 7 years ago.
- Obsolete: Products that were discontinued more than 7 years ago. Apple guarantees service and parts availability for the first 5 years after a product is no longer sold, but support may become limited or unavailable once a device reaches vintage status. All older Intel Mac minis are now considered obsolete.
