The Pokemon Company International has scaled its physical distribution network to 1,871 automated vending machines, marking a 27% increase in presence across the United States. While the network now spans 28 states including three new additions, the expansion comes with a notable churn rate, as one out of every seven machines active last summer has been removed or relocated. This strategy suggests an aggressive but data-driven approach to optimizing retail locations for trading card collectors.
