Tiny Tri-Fold: Infinix Zero Series Mini Unfolds a New Era of Compact Foldables
Infinix's new Zero Series Mini Tri-fold concept reimagines the foldable phone, offering a compact credit card-sized design that unfolds to the size of a regular smartphone.

Infinix Zero Series Mini Tri-fold Concept
In a unique take on the folding phone design, Infinix’s new Zero Series Mini Tri-fold concept introduces a compact tri-fold device that unfolds to the size of a regular smartphone. Unlike most tri-folds which aim for larger screen real estate, this device focuses on portability and versatility.
Key Features:
- Compact Size: When fully folded, it’s as small as a credit card, making it highly portable.
- Multiple Usage Modes: The phone can be used in three different phases: fully unfolded (normal phone size), partially folded (mini-phone size), and fully folded (credit card size).
- Versatile Use Cases: In addition to standard smartphone functions, the device can be mounted as a chest cam or attached to bike handlebars. It also supports real-time translation by folding the top screen outward for visibility.
Concerns:
- Practicality: The design raises questions about the utility of multiple hinges and whether the additional complexity is justified.
- Screen Real Estate: The device doesn’t offer much more screen space compared to a regular phone, which might limit its appeal.
Inifinix has not committed to commercializing this concept, but it offers an interesting glimpse into the potential future of compact foldable devices.
