Trump Admin's Hiring of Apple Lawyer Throws NLRB Cases into Uncertainty

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has indefinitely postponed two complaint cases against Apple after the Trump administration hired an Apple lawyer, Crystal Carey, to be the NLRB's general counsel. The cases in question were brought by former employees Janneke Parrish and Cher Scarlett, who accuse Apple of wrongful termination related to labor organizing activities. These postponements come amid broader concerns about the future of workers' rights under the new leadership at the NLRB. The previous general counsel, Jennifer Abruzzo, was fired by President Trump earlier in 2025, and her temporary replacement, William Cowen, has already rescinded several of her policy decisions.
