Two Easy-to-Miss Upgrades in iOS 18.1's Apple Music App

The Music app in iOS 18.1 has scored two nice upgrades including TikTok sharing integration and a customizable iPad tab bar, making it easier for users to share their favorite songs and access their go-to playlists.

iOS and iPadOS 18.1 launched this week and while the biggest addition is Apple Intelligence, the Music app also scored two nice upgrades you might have missed.

TikTok sharing integration Apple Music now offers a custom integration built for TikTok allowing users to share songs from their Apple Music playlist directly onto TikTok in three different formats: video, photo or message which includes a snippet of song attached to it.

Customisable iPad tab bar The second new feature is for the iPad version. It takes advantage of the fresh tab bar design introduced in iPadOS 18 allowing users to fully customize what they want displayed in the topmost tab bar while also being able to add their go-to playlists and playlist folders as dedicated items.
