Unlock Stunning Views with the Enhanced Panorama Mode on Pixel 9 Series
Discover how to elevate your photography with the new Panorama mode on Pixel 9 series, offering sharper images and smoother transitions.
Google's Tips for Using Pixel Camera’s New Panorama Mode
With the release of the Pixel 9 series, Google has introduced an upgraded Panorama mode in the Camera app. This new feature leverages the HDR+ image pipeline to combine multiple high-quality photos into a seamless panorama, resulting in significantly better images compared to previous versions that used video-based scanning.
Key Tips for High-Quality Panoramas:
- Steady Movement: Keep your movement as consistent and steady as possible. Use the Pixel’s level indicator (found in Settings > Framing hints) to ensure stability.
- Rotate While Standing Still: Rotate the camera while standing in place rather than moving your entire body to avoid perspective shift and create smoother transitions.
- Night Sight Panorama: For night shots, remain as still as possible, pause on each dot, and move smoothly between them. The Pixel Camera automatically balances light and exposure, so manual adjustments are not necessary.
- Experiment with Angles and Full 360-Degree Panoramas: Try shooting vertically or capturing a full 360-degree scene to explore the mode’s capabilities fully.
An update in October added support for vertical panoramas, further enhancing the versatility of this feature.
