Unlock the Power of Personalized AI with Gemini Gems: Now Free for Android Users
Following the announcement this month, Gems—customizable versions of Gemini—are now available for free users on the Android app. The platform offers five premade Gems:
- Brainstormer: For finding inspiration across various topics.
- Career Guide: To help refine skills and achieve career goals.
- Coding Partner: For assistance in building coding projects and learning.
- Learning Coach: Aids in learning new concepts with clear guidance.
- Writing Editor: Provides feedback to improve writing quality. Users can also create custom Gems by entering instructions, specifying behaviors and rules, uploading files, and naming them. These customizations help users save time on repetitive or complex tasks. Gems were first previewed at Google I/O in May last year, with initial rollouts to Advanced subscribers in August. Free access is now available for users over 18 on both web and Android platforms.
