Unlock Your Ideal Sleep Schedule with Fitbit’s New Sleep Lab Experiment

Discover your perfect sleep schedule with Fitbit's new Sleep Lab, which personalizes bedtime and wake times based on your daily energy levels and sleep data.

New Fitbit Sleep Lab to Find Your ‘Ideal’ Wake and Bedtime

Fitbit Labs is preparing a new opt-in experiment called 'Sleep need' that aims to determine your ideal bedtime and wake times. This feature, which is not yet live in the app, will be available with version 4.37 of Fitbit for Android.

Features of Sleep Need Lab:

  • Personalized Sleep Schedule: By answering a few daily questions about how you feel at different times, Fitbit Labs will use your responses and sleep data to generate personalized bedtime and wake time recommendations.
  • Daily Surveys: The lab includes Morning, Midday, and Evening surveys, with the midday survey focusing on energy levels.
  • Reminders and Suggestions: You’ll receive a reminder one hour before your scheduled bedtime and suggestions to use Android’s Digital Wellbeing Bedtime mode. Fitbit will also provide insights into how much sleep you need and any sleep debt you’ve accumulated.
  • Accuracy Improvement: For more accurate recommendations, Fitbit suggests wearing the device for at least 5 days.

Availability:

To access this feature, navigate to the account menu in the top-right corner of the app. The Sleep Need Lab is currently being tested and may not be available to all users yet.
