Unlock Your Tesla with Just a Tap: Apple Watch Car Key Feature in Development

Tesla appears to be actively developing its first Apple Watch app, with decompiled code suggesting the company intends for it to serve as a car key like the iPhone app.

Tesla is developing its first Apple Watch app, which will allow users to unlock and start their cars using the wearable device. This feature is similar to the existing iPhone app functionality. The discovery came from decompiled code in the latest Tesla app update, which included references related to pairing states, Bluetooth connectivity, and product selection for an Apple Watch application. While Tesla currently doesn't offer a native app on the watchOS platform, it does natively support Apple Music and Podcasts in its vehicles. An official confirmation about this feature from Tesla is yet to come.
