Unveiling the Future with One UI 7: New AI Features and Device Compatibility Breakdown

Samsung's One UI 7 brings a slew of AI-powered features including the Now Bar, Writing Assist, and more, but availability varies across devices.

Samsung is rolling out One UI 7, a major visual update for its Android skin, starting in early March. Alongside aesthetic improvements, the update introduces seven new AI features: Now Bar (real-time lock screen updates), AI Select (adaptive content selection), Writing Assist (text summarization/generation), Drawing Assist (image generation from text and sketch prompts), Audio Eraser (removing unwanted sounds from videos), Google Gemini integration, and natural language search in Settings. These features are primarily debuting on the Galaxy S25 series but will be available on most Galaxy devices with some exceptions:

  • Audio Eraser and natural language search in Settings are not supported on older models like the Galaxy S23 series FE or certain tablets.
  • The update begins rolling out on April 7, and Samsung has provided a detailed breakdown of which features will be available on specific devices.
