Volvo is expanding its support for Apple’s Car Key feature by rolling out a software update to the Volvo EX30, enabling drivers to store and use a digital key via the Apple Wallet app on their iPhones. The EX30, which launched in Europe last year and recently in the US, now allows users to lock, unlock, and start the car with their phones. This feature is available through software version 1.5.2, which began rolling out this month. Volvo’s EX90 has supported Car Key since its launch. Apple’s Car Key platform has been slow to adopt but is now supported by several automakers including Rivian, Kia, BMW, and Audi.
