WhatsApp Beta Introduces Reverse Image Search Feature

WhatsApp beta adds reverse image search through Google, allowing users to send received images for a background check.

The latest WhatsApp beta build has added a new feature that allows users to perform a reverse image search through Google. This feature, available in build 2.24.23.13 on the Google Play Store for beta testers, can be accessed by tapping the three-dot menu when viewing an image and selecting "search on web." The feature is server-side, meaning not all users on the latest version may see it immediately.

Reverse image search through Google has been available for some time via Circle to Search, but integrating directly into WhatsApp could make it more useful and convenient for a wider range of people who might want to verify an image's origins.
