WhatsApp Expands Event Scheduling Feature to Private Chats for Better Appointment Management

WhatsApp is expanding its event scheduling feature to private chats, making it even easier to plan meetings and appointments without leaving the app.

WhatsApp Expands Event Scheduling Feature to Private Chats

WhatsApp is set to introduce the ability for users to schedule events directly from private chats, a feature that has been available in group chats. This expansion aims to provide more flexibility for managing appointments and coordinating with contacts. Users can plan meetings, set reminders, and even add locations or links to audio and video calls directly within their conversations.

The new feature is part of WhatsApp's efforts to make the app a more comprehensive tool for event management, potentially reducing the need for dedicated calendar applications. The update also comes amid rumors about Apple planning to launch a new app for sending invitations to in-person events.

Additionally, Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, is exploring options to allow users to open View Once media on linked devices, enhancing usability for multi-device users. Currently, this media can only be viewed on the primary device registered with WhatsApp.

While there's no official timeline for when these features will roll out publicly, they are currently available in beta versions of the app.
