Xbox Cloud Gaming Gets Social: Invite Friends with Shareable Links

Xbox Cloud Gaming has introduced a new feature that allows players to send game invite links, making it easier to play together across supported devices such as Android phones, PCs, and TVs. When a player finds the sharing options in the game invite menu, they can generate a link to share via the Xbox app or other messaging platforms. For the invited player to join, they must have an entitlement to the game, which includes owning the game, having Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or being eligible for a free demo. Additionally, the invited player needs an Xbox account. If playing on a TV, the invitee must open the link on their phone and enter a code to gain access. The feature allows for access moderation, enabling players to revoke access if necessary. This update is part of Microsoft's efforts to broaden the reach and accessibility of Xbox Cloud Gaming.
