Xiaomi is reportedly planning to produce its own mobile chipsets for use in smartphones launching in 2025, following the lead of Google's Tensor chips used in Pixel devices. Xiaomi's move will help reduce reliance on Qualcomm and MediaTek and further differentiate the company within the Android market. Production of the new chipset is expected to begin in 2025.
