YouTube Accidentally Bans Accounts and Removes Channels, Promises Fix

YouTube appears to have accidentally removed channels and banned accounts for violating its “spam, deceptive practices, and scams policy” even for users that have never uploaded videos in what looks to be a bug. All channels incorrectly removed for Spam & Deceptive Practices have been fully reinstated.

The issue was acknowledged by YouTube and they are working on reinstating the affected channels and access to paid memberships. Some users reported losing access to saved playlists and music libraries.
