YouTube Hyperlinked Comments Appear More Widely on Mobile
YouTube hyperlinked comments are now appearing more widely in video comment sections as a somewhat spammy way to help users find more about a specific topic or interest point.

YouTube hyperlinked comments are now appearing more widely on mobile, allowing users to click on words or phrases in comments that will initiate a search related to the clicked term. This feature was originally rolled out as a limited experiment but seems to be expanding after a small trial run in 2023. The implementation so far has been met with mixed reactions, as it can be helpful for finding more information about a specific topic but also creates a spammy look in the comment section.
