YouTube Introduces Enhanced Music Display with Live Lyrics and Artwork on Smart TVs

YouTube is enhancing the music viewing and listening experience on TVs by introducing new 'Display' options that include live lyrics, video, and artwork. A 'Display' button has been added between the Thumbs Down and Save buttons, allowing users to choose what appears on screen while playing music. Options include Lyrics for scrolling text, Video for the standard view, and Artwork for a centered square image with a blurred background. These settings persist across songs and can be quickly changed when starting a song from the YouTube Music tab or homescreen app shortcut. This feature is available in version 5.22+ of YouTube for Android TV and other smart TV platforms.
