YouTube Music Elevates AI-Generated 'Ask Music' with New Carousel Feature

YouTube Music Enhances AI-Generated ‘Ask Music’ Feature
YouTube Music is making its AI-generated 'Ask Music' feature more prominent in the Android app, particularly for Premium subscribers in the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. The new design includes an 'Ask for music' carousel that showcases example prompts like Deep-voice singers, New releases, Chillwave, British rock classics, Intense orchestral music, Deep cuts, Indie rock, Baroque pop, Minimalist electronic, and Morning routine. This carousel replaces the previous 'Ask for music any way you like' card and appears just below the 'Radios for you' section.
The updated feature allows users to tap on a prompt to start a radio station or playlist immediately. Additionally, there's an 'Ask any way you like' text field that opens a fullscreen chat UI with voice input options, making it easier and faster to find and play music based on user preferences. YouTube Music is also planning to bring this feature to iOS and more countries soon.
