YouTube Music Introduces Multi-Song Radio Creator for Customized Listening
YouTube Music Upgrades Quick Picks with Multi-Song Radio Creator
YouTube Music has rolled out an upgrade to the Quick picks shelf, allowing users to create a radio station based on multiple songs. This new feature adds 'plus' buttons next to each song in the carousel, enabling you to select multiple tracks and then start a radio station by tapping 'Start radio' in the top-right corner.
The upgrade makes it easier to generate a more customized radio station, enhancing the usefulness of Quick picks. The 'Playing from' section in the Up Next queue indicates which songs are being used for the station. This feature complements the 'Play all' shortcut introduced in 2023 and further differentiates Quick picks from other features like Speed dial.
One suggested improvement is to prevent the Now Playing screen from automatically opening when a song is selected, similar to the behavior of the miniplayer in the Speed dial and Top songs on artist pages.
The update is now widely available for YouTube Music users on both Android and iOS.
