YouTube Music Tests Multi-Song Radio Creator in Quick Picks

Date: 2024-08-17

YouTube Music has introduced an update to its Quick picks feature, which was first launched in 2020. This new update allows users to create a multi-song radio by selecting multiple songs from a list of 20 that appear on the shelf. Users can tap the plus icon next to each song to add it to their selection, and a 'Start radio' button with the number of selected songs will appear in the top-right corner.

The update also retains the convenient ‘Play all’ shortcut, which was introduced in 2023. This feature is particularly useful for combining different genres of music, as opposed to the existing 'Create a radio' option that is based on artists. However, the conversational AI radio feature is still not widely available.

So far, only one report has emerged about this update, and it has not been observed on any Android or iOS devices tested by the reporting source.
