YouTube Music Unveils New Lyrics Sharing Feature for Android Users
YouTube Music is introducing a new feature that allows users to share lyrics as stylish graphics directly from the app, complete with customizable backgrounds and album art.

YouTube Music Introduces Lyrics Sharing on Android
YouTube Music is enhancing its real-time lyrics feature by introducing a new sharing capability within the mobile app. Users can now share lyrics as aesthetically pleasing graphics, complete with customizable backgrounds and song details.
How to Share Lyrics
- Access the Lyrics Tab: Open the lyrics section for your favorite songs.
- Select Lines: Use the new pill-shaped 'Share' button at the bottom to select specific lines of lyrics.
- Customize Background: Choose from a color carousel to set the background for your shared graphic.
- Finalize and Share: Preview the image with album artwork, song name, and artist details before sharing via the share sheet or saving it as an image.
Rollout Status
As of now, this feature is only reported on a limited number of Android devices and has not been widely rolled out. The gradual rollout may take some time, similar to the Now Playing redesign that was introduced in November 2024.
Additional Features
- Consistent Volume: YouTube Music is also rolling out a 'Consistent volume' feature on both Android and iOS.
- AI Radios: Users can now fine-tune AI-generated radio stations and upload custom thumbnails on Android, with the AI radio generator also available on iPhone.
