YouTube Premium's Grandfathered Pricing Going Away
The early adopter (grandfathered) price for YouTube Premium is going away soon, with customers in Europe being told about pricing changes to their discounted rate.
In 2023, Google began raising the price of YouTube Premium for most users. However, some early adopters of YouTube's Music Key streaming subscription in 2014 were still paying a discounted rate of $7.99 per month. These grandfathered customers will soon lose their early adopter pricing and pay the same rate as everyone else.
