YouTube Web Player Gets Custom Playback Speed Controls
YouTube on the web now offers fine-tunable ('Custom') playback speed.
Following Android and iOS last month, the YouTube website now offers fine-tunable (“Custom”) playback speed. In the settings gear > Playback speed menu, “Custom” appears first with a slider to adjust in .05x increments from .25 to 2.00. Your choice persists across videos watched during any session.
These controls match Android and iOS apps, preserving legacy options.
