Apple's Private Cloud Compute: Now Open for Independent Security Inspection

Apple has made resources available for third-party security experts to examine the architecture of Private Cloud Compute, its cloud-based processing system that it says uses exceptional privacy and cryptographic techniques. In July 2023, Apple launched Apple Intelligence together with Private Cloud Compute as part of a bid to handle Siri requests on-device as much as possible by using in-cloud processing. The company insisted at the time that its features could be inspected by third parties.
