tvOS 18, announced at WWDC 2024, brings several new features and enhancements to Apple TV users. Key additions include InSight, which provides information about actors, characters, and songs in Apple TV+ content; Enhance Dialogue, now with greater vocal clarity over various noises and compatible with HDMI-connected speakers, AirPods, or Bluetooth speakers; Smart Subtitles that automatically enable when the user presses mute or skips back; support for the 21:9 aspect ratio; a redesigned Apple Fitness+ app; Live Captions for FaceTime calls; an option to set a specific iPhone as the dedicated camera; and new screensavers. tvOS 18 is currently in developer beta, with a public release expected this fall.
