OnePlus has announced the opening of a new 'State-of-the-Art Health Laboratory' in Guangdong, China, aimed at advancing health and wellness technology for its upcoming smartwatch products. The 4,840-square-meter facility is equipped with over 100 professional R&D testing devices across 20 sub-laboratories focused on sports, cardiovascular health, sleep, and hardware. Key areas of research include energy metabolism, motion capture, and sensor development. OnePlus emphasizes a user-centric approach, incorporating medical professionals and multidisciplinary engineers to drive innovation in wearable technology. The company also plans long-term collaborations with over 30 institutions to ensure scientific advancements.
