Before the introduction of the iPhone, it was difficult to imagine life without an iPod, and they were in widespread use. Despite taking a long time for the device to gain popularity, it had a strong dominance which ultimately led to its demise by Apple's own iPhone. Although the last iPod Touch was discontinued in May 2022, its legacy endures.
