TikTok Set to Reappear on App Store Ahead of New iPhone Launch
TikTok is set to return to the App Store on Thursday evening, following a letter from Trump’s attorney general Pam Bondi granting permission to Apple. The app was previously delisted due to China's ByteDance failing to divest ownership, as required by law. Despite this, users with TikTok already installed could continue using it and access it via the web. However, updates were not available, and new installs or transfers between devices were impossible. The return of TikTok coincides with Apple’s upcoming low-end iPhone launch next week. The decision to delay enforcement was made by the Biden administration, which allowed the Trump administration to decide on the app's future.
