AirTag 2: Precision Finding range increased by 3x
The new AirTag 2 is set to offer a major improvement in Precision Finding thanks to a new ultrawide band chip, allowing users to track their lost items from up to 3x the distance as the current model.

AirTag 2 is set to launch with a major improvement in its Precision Finding feature. Thanks to a new ultrawide band chip, users will be able to track their AirTag from up to three times the distance of the current model. This upgrade means that AirTag 2 users could potentially locate their lost items within a range of 30-90 meters, compared to the current 10-30 meter range. This improvement is due to the next-gen ultrawide band chip that will be shared with the iPhone 15.
